The sea and in particular the transitional space between sea and land is becoming increasingly important to me. As a result I am making pieces that are a response to seaweed and limpets and markings on coastal rocks.
There are spin-offs from this as I find that a pattern works well in a more formal shape such as a rectangle of heat treated automotive steel.
Though found materials are still important, I am more selective as relevance and longevity become more considered. I am forming metal more than previously.
